The second Kumbal Perahera of the Kandy Esala Festival will take to the streets tonight (31) at 7:05 p.m. from the Temple of the Tooth Relic. 

The Kumbal Perahera runs until 3 August, followed by the Randoli Perahera starting 4 August, with the grand parade on 8 August (Poya Day). 

The festival concludes on August 9 with the Diya-Kepuma ceremony and a Day Perahera.
