CTU urges action over Grade 5 exam incident

The Ceylon Teachers’ Union has urged authorities to take action over an incident in which the 2026 Grade 5 Scholarship Examination paper was handed to students late at a school in Kegalle.


CTU President Priyantha Fernando stated that measures should be taken to ensure affected students are treated fairly.


He also urged the Government to increase allowances for teachers assigned to G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination duties.
