Former Sri Lanka cricket captain, Arjuna Ranatunga, has assumed the role of Chairman of the newly formed seven-member interim committee responsible for overseeing Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC).
This development comes after Minister of Sports, Roshan Ranasinghe, exercised his authority to dissolve the executive committee and transfer its powers to the newly established committee.
The members of the interim committee comprise notable individuals, including S. I. Imam and Rohini Marasinghe, both retired Supreme Court (SC) Judges, along with Irangani Perera, a retired High Court (HC) Judge. Joining them are Upali Dharmadasa, Rakitha Rajapakshe, Attorney-at-Law, and Hardy Jamaldeen.
