Foreign reserves decline to $ 6.32 b

09 May 2025

Sri Lanka’s foreign exchange reserves fell by 3% in April, dropping to $ 6.32 billion from $ 6.53 billion in March, according to the latest Central Bank data.

The $ 210 million monthly decline is recorded as the nation continues its post-crisis economic recovery efforts.

This development occurs despite Sri Lanka's ongoing IMF programme and improving macroeconomic indicators.
