Sri Lanka’s overall inflation rate increased to 6.5% in June 2026, up from 5.4% in May, according to the Department of Census and Statistics.

The Department stated food inflation rose to 3.3% in June from 1.5% in May.

Non-food inflation increased to 9.3% in June, compared to 8.6% in the previous month
