The Department of Meteorology has forecast showers or thundershowers in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and North Western provinces, as well as the Galle, Matara, Kandy and Nuwara Eliya districts tomorrow(04).

Heavy rainfall of around 100mm is expected in some areas of the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in the Galle, Matara, Kandy and Nuwara Eliya districts.

Strong winds of 40–50 kmph are also expected in several parts of the island, while the public has been advised to take precautions against strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
