The Department of Meteorology has warned of rough to very rough sea conditions off the coast from Puttalam to Pottuvil via Colombo, Galle, and Hambantota over the next 24 hours.

Gusty winds up to 65 kmph and swell waves of 2.5 to 3 meters are expected.

Naval and fishing communities are advised to avoid these areas and stay updated on forecasts.
