The Government of India has announced 200 fully funded scholarships for Sri Lankan nationals for the 2025-2026 academic year.

The scholarships cover tuition fees, monthly allowances, airfare, and more, for studies at top Indian institutes. Programs include undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD courses in fields such as engineering, science, business, and arts, but exclude medical, fashion design, and law.

The schemes include Nehru Memorial, Maulana Azad, Rajiv Gandhi, and Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Commonwealth scholarships. Selection is based on merit and coordinated with Sri Lanka’s Ministry of Education.
