The Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) has issued a special notice cautioning the public about prohibited pyramid schemes.

CBSL has identified Pro Care (Pvt) Ltd and Shade of Procare (Pvt) Ltd as entities operating illegal pyramid schemes, violating Section 83(c) of the Banking Act.

The notice also includes warnings about other institutions engaged in similar unlawful activities under the same legal provision.
