The Sri Lanka Volleyball Federation (SLVB) will conduct two international-level volleyball tournaments in Colombo in 2024.
The SLVB Secretary A. S. Nalaka stated today (30) that SLVB will conduct these two tournaments to promote the tourism industry in the country and the initial discussions are underway with the Sports Minister Harin Fernando.
Accordingly, SLVB will host the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB) Beach Future Men’s Volleyball Tournament in December and the South Asian Under-20 Men’s Tournament in August.
The FIVB Beach Future Tournament is a major international event and the SLVB is hoping to attract over 30 countries.
In addition, the SLVB will be hoping to conduct the inaugural South Asian Under-20 Volleyball Tournament as well.
This tournament will also be a talent search in preparation for the South Asian Games 2024.
