Water levels in several reservoirs in Nuwara Eliya have dropped rapidly due to prevailing dry weather conditions.

Levels at the Upper Kotmale Reservoir, Devon Falls and St. Clair’s Falls have declined, affecting hydropower generation.

Authorities also noted declining water levels in rivers and reservoirs across parts of the island.
