Two suspects have been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting incident near Sylvester Road Junction, Mount Lavinia, earlier this month.

The incident, which took place on 5 May, involved two unidentified gunmen on a motorcycle who shot and killed an unarmed civilian.

Following investigations, police arrested two suspects aged 21 and 32, residents of Mount Lavinia and Dehiwala, on suspicion of aiding and abetting the assassins.

Efforts are underway to identify the gunmen and establish the motive behind the killing, police added.
