Cabinet has granted policy approval to establish the Chartered Institute of Computing of Sri Lanka.

The proposal, presented by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake in his capacity as Minister of Digital Economy, aims to grant chartered status to Sri Lanka's computing profession.

Cabinet also approved drafting legislation to establish the institute in line with the proposed objectives.
