The National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) announced a thirty-hour water cut in several areas of the Galle District starting at 8.00 a.m. tomorrow(20).

The supply interruption, scheduled until 2.00 p.m. on 21 October, is required for essential repairs to the main pipeline feeding the Hapugala Water Treatment Plant. 

The affected areas are Bope, Poddala, Akmeemana, and Rathgama. Ahangama will experience low-pressure water supply. 

The NWSDB requested that consumers use water sparingly and apologised for the inconvenience.
