The Public Health Inspectors' Union of Sri Lanka has urged priority fuel access for public health inspectors.

In a letter to the Health Minister, the union stated no special fuel quota has been allocated for PHIs despite field duties.

The union noted delays in obtaining fuel under the QR system risk disrupting disease control, inspections, and school health services.

It also warned that members may resort to trade union action if the issue leads to pressure or disciplinary measures.
