Teldeniya Police have arrested 41 suspects, including five women, during a raid on an illegal party held in the Victoria area of Teldeniya.

Police stated that the party had been organised through social media and was raided based on information received by officers.

The seized items included cannabis, hashish, crystal methamphetamine, 18 ecstasy pills, 21 illicit cigarettes, 35 cans of beer and 13 bottles of arrack.

The male suspects are aged between 21 and 40, while the female suspects are aged between 22 and 43. They are residents of several areas including Kandy, Peradeniya, Pallekele, Katugastota and Hanguranketha.
