At least thirty Indian fishermen have been repatriated from Sri Lanka, the Indian High Commission in Colombo stated.

Authorities noted that the group is currently on their way back to India.

The Sri Lanka Navy stated that 102 Indian fishermen have been arrested so far in 2026, along with 15 trawlers seized.
