The Court of Appeal today (5) ordered steps to be taken to enforce the remaining period of imprisonment imposed on Venerable Galagoda Aththe Gnanasara Thero for contempt of court.

Gnanasara Thero, who was subject to an open arrest warrant, was produced before the Court of Appeal by prison officials.

The court directed the Commissioner General of Prisons to take the necessary steps to enforce the remaining period of his sentence.
