Do you remember how you felt when you heard the news of getting selected for the U17 national side?
To be honest, I never even dreamt of playing for the AC Milan junior teams, let alone the Italian junior national side. I do not have the words to express what I felt when I heard the news. It brought so much joy to my heart.
How did you get into football?
From my youngest days I have always had an interest in the sport. I remember that I used to be glued to the television watching football matches, and I still do watch a lot of matches. I have always had that passion toward the sport.
Tell us about your family.
I am the youngest in my family. Along with my parents, I have an elder sister. She is currently pursuing her studies in accountancy and I’m still in high school.
Have you met any special football stars?
Yes, I have met so many big names in Italian football and other national sports. All of these players have been very friendly and have spoken to me nicely. They all willingly share their expertise with me and I really value their mentorship.
In your opinion, what is the major difference you see in football in Europe and Asia?
Personally, I do not see a major difference, but I think Asians could improve their game if they stick to good discipline while playing the games.
Do you have any unforgettable memories in your career so far?
I haven’t made many unforgettable career memories so far, but nothing can top the moment I got to know that I had been selected for the Italian U17 national side.
Who is your favourite player?
My favourite player is Christiano Ronaldo.

Do you have any words for Sri lankans fans?
My advice to all young players is to commit with determination and sacrifice, which can eventually bring tremendous achievements in life.
