Heavy traffic congestion has been reported along the Colombo–Piliyandala Road following an accident at Rattanapitiya this morning (4), police confirmed. 

The collision involved a lorry and a school van, which subsequently collided with a roadside lamppost.

As a result of the incident, vehicular movement on the 120 route lane from Piliyandala towards Colombo has been disrupted, causing delays for commuters. 

Authorities are managing the scene and urging drivers to exercise caution and seek alternative routes.
