The Sri Lanka Coast Guard (SLCG) successfully held Table Top Exercise – 2026 (TTX–26) on 16–17 March at its Mirissa headquarters.

The two-day exercise involved regional Coast Guards from Bangladesh, India, and the Maldives, as well as local stakeholders including the Navy, Air Force, Police, Customs, and the Marine Environment Protection Authority.

Participants addressed maritime security challenges such as drug trafficking, human smuggling, search and rescue, oil spill response, and the application of maritime laws and conventions.

The exercise strengthened inter-agency coordination, knowledge sharing, and preparedness for regional maritime incidents.

A certificate ceremony was held with Director General SLCG Rear Admiral Rohan Joseph and senior officers in attendance.
