A 34-year-old woman, identified as Achini, also known as Anosha Lakmali, has been brought to Sri Lanka from Dubai in connection with the murder of ‘Kajja’ and his two children.
The suspect, a resident of Katuwana in Middeniya, arrived at Bandaranaike International Airport at around 5.20 a.m. on 27 October aboard SriLankan Airlines flight UL-226.
Following questioning by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) at the airport, she was taken to the CID headquarters in Colombo.
Police investigations have found that she allegedly made the final telephone call and sent the final text message to ‘Kajja’, and invited him and his children to a restaurant on the instructions of underworld figure ‘Backhoe Saman’.
The three were subsequently shot dead at the restaurant, according to the report.
