Sri Lanka’s overall inflation rate, measured by the Colombo Consumer Price Index (CCPI), fell to -4.2% in February 2025 from -4% in January, according to the Department of Census and Statistics.
Year-on-Year food inflation rose slightly to -0.2% in February from -2.6% in January, while non-food inflation remained at -6.1%.
The CCPI index dropped to 192.2 from 192.6 in January, with food contributing 0.11% and non-food items contributing -0.32% to the Month-on-Month change.
Accordingly, the general price level has increased by 92.2% compared to the 2021 index reference.
