Sri Lanka has reported 45 dengue-related deaths and 65,034 dengue cases so far this year, according to the National Dengue Control Unit.

The NDCU stated that 9,654 cases were recorded during the first eight days of July.

Gampaha District has reported the highest number of cases with 13,332, followed by Colombo with 13,150.

Matara and Kalutara districts have also recorded more than 4,000 dengue cases each.
