IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva is scheduled to visit Sri Lanka next month, a top IMF official stated.
Director of the IMF’s Asia and Pacific Department Krishna Srinivasan noted the visit will review the progress of the IMF program and reaffirm the IMF’s support for Sri Lanka.
Srinivasan, along with Deputy Director Sanjaya Panth, Mission Chief Evan Papageorgiou, and Resident Representative Martha Woldemichael, recently met President Anura Kumara Dissanayake at the Presidential Secretariat during their assessment of Cyclone Ditwah’s impact.
