Indian Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh K. Tripathi arrived in Sri Lanka for a four-day official visit, aimed at strengthening maritime security and defence cooperation. 

He was welcomed with a Guard of Honour in Colombo and held talks with Sri Lanka Navy Commander Vice Admiral Kanchana Banagoda. 

Admiral Tripathi also met senior Army and Air Force leaders and will take part in the 12th Galle Dialogue International Maritime Conference.
