Following a two-year break, the International Schools’ Athletic Championship (ISAC), one of the most prominent sports tournaments among international schools, was held last Saturday (25) and Sunday (26).
Lyceum International School, Wattala was able to take home the ISAC crown for the 13th time in a row at this year’s edition of the tournament held at Sugathadasa Stadium.
The tournament, which started in 2001, was hosted by Lyceum International School for the tenth time as 1,800 athletes participated in the event over the two days.
Lyceum International School, Wattala, who dominated the tournament this year, won a total of 99 medals with 44 gold medals, 20 silver medals, and 20 bronze medals, while Gateway International School, Colombo, won second place with 48 medals (22 gold, 12 silver, and 14 bronze).
Lyceum International School, Nugegoda won 35 medals (six gold, 16 silver, and 16 bronze), Lyceum International School, Panadura won 27 medals (nine gold, 10 silver, and eight bronze) and Lyceum International School, Ratnapura won 14 medals (one gold, five silver, and eight bronze)
