Magistrate Pasan Amarasena has reportedly resigned as President of the Judicial Service Association.

The resignation follows a controversy over a special general assembly convened to discuss the proposed extension of judges' retirement age.

The association's special general assembly proceeded as scheduled at the Kaduwela Magistrate's Court today(11).
