The National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) announced today, (18), that water supply has been disrupted in multiple areas around Colombo due to a sudden breakdown of the main transmission pipeline from Ambatale to Dehiwala. 

As a result, residents in Moratuwa, Rawathawatta, Soysapura, Ratmalana, Dehiwala, Mount Lavinia, Wellawatte, Pamankada, Mulleriyawa, and Kolonnawa are experiencing water shortages. Additionally, residents of Battaramulla will receive water at low pressure until repairs are completed. 

The NWSDB is working to resolve the issue and restore normal water supply as soon as possible.
