A social media user has successfully appealed to the Human Rights Commission of Sri Lanka to be unblocked from the Sri Lanka Police Facebook page.

Rukshan Priyanath stated he was blocked after posting criticism of the police and filed a complaint citing concerns over freedom of expression.

He has since been unblocked, with police stating the action may not have been intentional.
