Minister Vijitha Herath stated that domestic LP gas prices have been increased due to rising global prices.

He noted that the revision follows an increase in the Saudi Aramco price index.

The Minister stated that gas supply remains uninterrupted under the new tender system.

He further noted that additional costs, including overseas storage and frequent imports, also contributed to the price increase.
