The Department of Meteorology says several spells of showers will occur today (03) in the Northern, North-Central, Eastern and Uva provinces, as well as in the Nuwara-Eliya and Matale districts.

Showers or thundershowers are also likely in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Galle and Matara districts after 2.00 p.m., with fairly heavy rainfall exceeding 50 mm expected in some areas.

Misty conditions may occur during the early morning in the Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces and in Galle, Matara and Badulla districts.
