The Department of Meteorology has issued a warm weather advisory for the North-Central and Eastern provinces and Jaffna, Kilinochchi, Mullaitivu, Vavuniya and Monaragala districts.

The heat index is expected to reach the ‘Caution Level’ in some areas during the daytime tomorrow (5).

The Department noted that prolonged exposure to the sun and outdoor activities may cause fatigue, while continued activity could lead to heat cramps.

Residents have been advised to stay hydrated and limit strenuous outdoor activities.
