The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the utilisation of remaining funds to complete development work at the Vidyalankara International Buddhist Conference Hall in Kelaniya.
The Hall was constructed as a governmental contribution to the mission of the Vidyalankara Pirivena.
Following approval on twenty-three June 2025 to restore the electrical system using Rs. 137.11 million, the Central Engineering Consultancy Bureau is completing the task.
The Cabinet has now approved a proposal, presented by the Minister of Buddhism, Religious, and Cultural Affairs, to complete other essential components this year, including the fire protection and air conditioning systems and security fence construction.
