New appointments to the board of officials of the United People’s Freedom Alliance (UPFA) are to be made following the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) Chairman, Opposition Parliamentarian and former President Maithripala Sirisena’s return to the island from the United States.
According to political sources, as such, State Minister Lasantha Alagiyawanna is tipped to be appointed as the new UPFA General Secretary.
