The Sri Lanka Association of Divisional Secretaries and Assistant Divisional Secretaries has announced that its members will not attend meetings held on Mondays, designated as Public Day, with effect from tomorrow(08).
Association President R. Senthil stated that the decision was taken due to disruptions caused by meetings organised by ministries, state institutions and political authorities on Public Day.
The association noted that public administration regulations require officials to remain in their offices on Mondays to address public concerns and discourage the scheduling of official meetings on that day.
