A total of 161,451 people from 49,344 families across eight districts have been affected by El Niño-related weather conditions, according to the Disaster Management Centre (DMC).
The latest DMC data issued this morning (12) shows that 36 Divisional Secretariat Divisions across the country have been affected.
Meanwhile, drinking water is being continuously distributed to affected communities.
The DMC stated that water is currently being provided to 141,312 people from 43,221 families across the 36 affected Divisional Secretariat Divisions.
