Sri Lanka’s 77th Independence Day celebrations, held at Independence Square in Colombo, President Anura Kumara Dissanayake emphasised the nation’s future while delivering a speech.
Accordingly, he highlighted the collective goal of economic, social, and cultural independence, and he urged all Sri Lankans from north to south to join in building a modern, united nation.
The President spoke of the importance of economic freedom and the need for national cooperation, asserting that Sri Lanka’s future must be one of progress and unity.
He called on citizens to seize the current moment to shape a country they would be proud of, focusing on equality, freedom, and cultural humanity.
