Ten students of Sabaragamuwa University, arrested over the alleged ragging-related death of a fellow student, have been further remanded until 29 May.
The suspects were produced before the Balangoda Magistrate’s Court today (16), where the remand extension was ordered.
The case pertains to the death of a 23-year-old second-year student from the Department of Engineering Technology.
Preliminary investigations suggest the student died by suicide on 29 April, following severe ragging by fellow students.
The investigation is ongoing.
