Former Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella has been remanded until 20 May following his arrest by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC).

He was taken into custody after appearing before the commission to give a statement earlier today (7).

Rambukwella was later produced before the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court, which ordered his remand.

The arrest is part of an ongoing investigation into corruption allegations.
