Archbishop Paul Richard Gallagher, the Secretary for Relations with States and International Organizations of the Holy See (Vatican Foreign Minister), has arrived in Sri Lanka.

Archbishop Gallagher was received upon arrival by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Employment Arun Hemachandra. 

His visit is expected to focus on strengthening diplomatic relations between the Holy See and Sri Lanka, and discussing matters of mutual international concern. 

The high-level visit underscores the strong ties between the Vatican and the island nation.
