The 2027 Appropriation Bill is scheduled to be presented to Parliament today (7), marking the beginning of the parliamentary process for next year’s Budget.

The second reading, together with the presentation of the 2027 Budget proposals, is scheduled for 12 November. The Budget Speech will be delivered by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake in his capacity as Minister of Finance.

The final vote on the third reading of the Budget is scheduled for 6.00 p.m. on 14 December.
