The State of Qatar has pledged to continue its humanitarian assistance in Sri Lanka following Cyclone Ditwah. 

Minister of State for International Cooperation Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad met with Sri Lanka’s Minister of Labour and Deputy Minister of Finance and Planning, Dr. Anil Jayantha Fernando, to discuss ongoing cooperation. 

Talks focused on humanitarian aid, early recovery, infrastructure rehabilitation, and livelihood protection. 

Al Misnad reaffirmed Qatar’s commitment to support Sri Lanka and prioritise urgent interventions, while Minister Fernando expressed gratitude for Qatar’s solidarity and readiness to assist Sri Lankan communities during crises and natural disasters.
