The final rites of veteran singer and actor Priyankara Perera will be held tomorrow (3), according to his family.

His remains will be brought to a private funeral parlour in Borella this afternoon (2), where the public and well-wishers can pay their final respects.

Priyankara Perera, 64, passed away last night while receiving treatment at the Colombo National Hospital after suffering from an illness.

The son of renowned singer J.A. Milton Perera, he was known for his work in both music and acting, having appeared in several films and television dramas.
