The Colombo Chief Magistrate's Court has further remanded Rakitha Rajapakshe, Charith Abeysinghe, and Aruna Sri Warushahennadige until 28 July.

The three were arrested by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) over allegations that they demanded and accepted bribes in connection with alleged organised crime figure "Harak Kata" in 2023.

CIABOC alleges the suspects demanded Rs. 500 million, later reduced to Rs. 200 million, and that Rs. 120 million was paid through the Undiyal system. The investigation is ongoing.
