Lanka Private Bus Owners’ Association Chairman Gemunu Wijeratne has lodged a complaint with the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) over alleged defamatory statements made against him on social media.

The complaint follows remarks he made about the proposed Metro Bus project, which he claims led to defamatory comments on social media platforms.

Wijeratne has questioned the feasibility and operating costs of the project, while stating that a similar proposal had previously been submitted to the Ministry of Transport.
