Two Sri Lankan passengers were arrested at Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) with over 14kg of ‘Kush’ narcotics, Customs said.

The suspects were intercepted at the Green Channel after arriving from Bangkok on a SriLankan Airlines flight.

Officials found 14kg and 562g of narcotics concealed in 28 packages inside their luggage.

The suspects, aged 23 and 30 and residents of Dematagoda, have been handed over to the Police Narcotics Bureau for further investigations.
