Tokyo Cement Company (Lanka) PLC has appointed two professionals to its Board of Directors; Jegan Durairatnam, a seasoned banker with over three decades of experience, and Michio Matsuoka, a global business leader representing UBE Singapore Pte. Ltd.
Durairatnam brings 36 years of expertise from Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC, where he held pivotal roles, including Managing Director/CEO (2014-2018) and Director (2012-2014), senior leadership positions such as Chief Operating Officer, Deputy General Manager - International, and Head of Imports, Former Managing Director of Commercial Development Company PLC and Director at Lanka Financial Services Bureau Limited.
Currently, he serves as the non-executive independent Chairperson of DFCC Bank PLC, a non-executive Director for Asian Hotels and Properties PLC, Ceylinco Life Insurance Limited, Assetline Finance Limited, and Enviro Solutions (Private) Limited.
Matsuoka joins as a nominee and non-executive Director, representing UBE Singapore Pte. Ltd., succeeding Shuichi Nakamoto. His credentials include being Managing Director of UBE Singapore Pte. Ltd., with an MBA from Babson College, USA, and a Bachelor of Arts from Sophia University, Japan.
