Four entry lanes at the Seeduwa interchange of the Colombo–Katunayake Expressway were opened today(23) and will operate round the clock, according to the Ministry of Transport and Highways.
The lanes include one Electronic Toll Collection lane and three ticket lanes, introduced to ease congestion for thousands of daily expressway users.
The initiative was implemented by the Road Development Authority.
The ministry noted the Electronic Toll Collection lane has been marked in blue after motorists mistakenly used it, causing delays. A speed limit of 15 km/h has been imposed in the area.
