Former Minister and ex-Presidential candidate Roshan Ranasinghe has joined the Mawbima Janatha Party (MJP) led by attorney, entrepreneur and former Presidential candidate Dilith Jayaweera. He has been appointed as the Chairperson of the Party. 

Meanwhile, former Minister Prof. Channa Jayasumana has been appointed as the Vice Chairperson of the MJP.
